"The Way Home" Season Two Finale Delivers One Shocking Twist And Hints At Another

Image
When we began season two of "The Way Home" back on January 21, we saw a little boy and an old woman standing next to the Landry farm pond. At the time, we assumed the boy was Jacob Landry, the younger brother of Kat Landry who disappeared in 1999. Well, the season two finale, titled "Bring Me To Life", revealed that this wasn't actually the case because the boy we saw in the season premiere wasn't actually Jacob bus his father Colton, with the woman being his grandmother. However, this wasn't even the biggest twist in the season finale involving Colton. If you watched the season premiere, you'll probably remember that during the Landry family's 1999 summer cookout and barbecue, Kat thinks she hears someone in the bushes. While the season finale reveals this to be the present day versions of Alice and Elliot, having gone back in time to give Elliot a chance to get the goodbye with Colton he never had, it's also revealed that someone

One Year Anniversary Post

Hello, fellow Watchers. Today marks one year since I started this blog. I started this blog in order to share my love for my favorite movies and tv shows with other people. I fully intend to keep this blog going as long as people continue to read it.  To celebrate my blog's one year anniversary, I will post a link to the most viewed story from each of my blog's first twelve months (February 2023-January 2024) below. Hallmark Channel Makes History On Latest Episode Of "The Way Home"

During the most recent episode of "The Way Home" that premiered this past Sunday February 4, there was one scene in particular that stood out. While Kat Landry (Chyler Leigh) is looking through the archives at the Port Haven Herald, she is greeted by someone named Casey Goodwin (Vaughan Murrae). In a historical scene for Hallmark Channel, Kat identifies Casey as the granddaughter of Evelyn Goodwin, the woman who left the Herald to her, only to have Casey correct her and state that she is actually Evelyn's grandchild and uses "they/them". In doing so, Casey may have become the first openly non-binary character in a Hallmark Channel series or movie. This is just the latest in a series of LGBT-related firsts for Hallmark Channel. In 2020, we got our first same-sex wedding ("Wedding Every Weekend") and our first Christmas film with an openly gay couple ("The Christmas House"). In 2021,  we got our first same-sex kiss in a Hallmark Chan

Author's Note: This article contains spoilers for Season 2 of "The Way Home". Please do not read any further if you have not seen any of the episodes yet and do not wish to be spoiled. After waiting for nearly ten months, the second season of "The Way Home" finally premiered on Hallmark Channel on January 21, 2024 and with it came some new questions. Below are some that stood out.  1. Who is the woman standing by Jacob at the beginning of the episode? At the start of the episode, we see Jacob Landry (Kat's younger brother who disappeared in 1999 and is late revealed to have gone back in time to 1790 and is now an adult in the year 1814) standing in front of the pond. Standing next to him is an elderly woman. The woman tells Jacob that the pond will take him where he needs to go but for now, he needs to stay. One possible explanation is that Jacob can't return home while the pond is frozen, but this is never explicitly stated. Answer:  The Season Tw

Ranking All Ten Season One Episodes Of "The Way Home"

Now that Season 1 of "The Way Home" has finished airing on Hallmark Channel, I thought I would rank all ten episodes from the season. I arrived at my rankings by multiplying each episode's rating on the Internet Movie Database, or IMDB, by its average viewers per one million. With that said, here is how I ranked all ten episodes of Season 1 of "The Way Home". 1. Not All Who Wander Are Lost Episode: 10 Original Airdate: March 26, 2023 My Rating: 15.486 IMDB Summary: "Kat and Alice attend Colton's funeral. Del goes to the grief group and makes peace with her memory of Colton. Kat has a new theory about Jacob." 2.  Building A Mystery Episode: 6 Original Airdate: February 26, 2023 My Rating: 13.528 IMDB Summary: "Kat and Alice try to stop Jacob's disappearance. Del realized the tragedy of Jacob's was not hers alone, but the whole town's, and moves toward healing." 3. The Day The Music Died Episode: 9 Original Airdate: March 1

Questions answered on "The Way Home" Season 1 Finale

Tonight, Hallmark Channel aired the Season 1 finale of its new hit series "The Way Home". During the episode, titled "Not All Who Wander Are Lost", several questions that were brought up throughout the series were finally answered. I will attempt to go through each question in the order that it was answered in this episode, with the episodes it was previously brought up in listed in parentheses. Q- How did Colton die? (Technically, this question was answered in the last episode but since it was shown in the recap prior to tonight's episode, I'll still list it here) ("Mothers And Daughters") A-Kat went back in time to try and prevent his death and Alice went after her. During the climax of the episode, Alice and Kat both ran out into the middle of the street to try and stop Colton from crashing his truck. This caused Colton to swerve his truck to avoid hitting them, which resulted in the crash that killed him  Q- Who was the woman that Del saw

"The Way Home"-Jacob's disappearance and the Stable Time Loop Theory

Hello. First, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wesley Eversole. I have been an avid watcher of Hallmark Channel for about four years now and have watched almost all of their series, including their most recent series, "The Way Home", which premiered on January 15. If you are not familiar with the series, let me give you a basic rundown on the premise.     The series basically revolves around the main  character, Alice Dhawan (played by Sadie Laflamme-Snow) discovering that she has the ability to travel through time and jumping into a pond out in the woods behind her maternal grandmother, Del Landry's (Andie McDowell) family farm. She travels back to 1999, where she meets her mother, Kat (Alex Hook) as a teenager.      "The Way Home" has several mysteries but by far the most prominent is the  disappearance of Kat's younger brother Jacob (Remy Smith) during a Fall Festival in 1999. In the series' most recent episode, "Building A My
