Should Anna Delvey Be Allowed To Compete On "Dancing With The Stars"?
Today, ABC unveiled the list of celebrities who would be competing on the upcoming thirty-third season of "Dancing With The Stars". Of the thirteen celebrities who will be competing this season, arguably the most controversial contestant is Anna Delvey. Delvey, who was born Anna Sorokin, was convicted in 2019 of grand larceny in the second degree, attempted grand larceny and theft of services, among other charges. She was sentenced to serve between four and twelve years in state prison, fined $24,000 and ordered to pay $199,000 in restitution. After serving less than two years of her sentence, she was paroled in February 2021. In March 2021, Delvey was arrested for overstaying her visa and was held in a New Jersey county jail to await a possible deportation to Germany.
