"Hope Valley: 1874" Renewed For Season Two

Today, Hallmark+ has announced that its hit original series, "Hope Valley: 1874" has been renewed for a second season.  The series, a prequel to the hit Hallmark Channel series "When Calls The Heart" that wrapped up its first season today, follows Rebecca Clarke (Bethany Joy Lenz) and her daughter Sarah (Mila Morgan) as they travel from their hometown of Chicago to the western Canadian frontier in search of a better life following the death of Rebecca's husband and Sarah's  father.  The series also stars Benjamin Ayres as Tom Moore and Jill Hennessy as Hattie Quinn.       Season Two of "Hope Valley: 1874" is expected to premiere sometime in 2027.     Sources https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/tv/articles/hope-valley-1874-renewed-season-171344796.html

Untangling The Complex Goodwin and Landry Family Trees On "The Way Home"

Just when we thought we had the Goodwin and Landry family trees on "The Way Home" all figured out, last night's premiere threw us for another loop. In the episode, titled "Blinded By The Light", we learn that Fern Landry (Colton's grandmother, Kat and Jacob's great-grandmother and Alice's great-great-grandmother) was engaged to Grayson Goodwin (presumably the grandfather of Evelyn Goodwin) in 1925.  However, this revelation causes some problems. One, it would mean that Evelyn basically spent all of Season Three crushing on her first cousin.  Second, it complicates the origins of the Landry family's time travel abilities. Up to this point, we have assumed that the time travel abilities originated with the Landry family.   However, the revelation of Fern and Grayson's engagement combined with the revelation of K.C. Goodwin (the supposed grandchild of Evelyn) as a time traveler last season opens up the possibility that it is actually the G...

New Questions Following "The Way Home" Season Four Premiere

Last night, the fourth and final season of the hit Hallmark Channel original series "The Way Home" premiered.  The episode, titled "Show Me The Way To Go Home", began with a  flash forward into an unspecified time period (The caption simply reads "Port Haven-Future") that has left fans of the series with some big questions to answer.  First, we see the three Landry women, Del (Andie McDowell), Kat (Chyler Leigh) and Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow) at the pond. They appear to be getting ready for a wedding. As they are talking, one of them says "I wish he could have been here" and another one says "He's with us in spirit".  This leads to the two questions I have regarding this scene. 1. Who is the wedding for? We know that Elliot (Evan Williams) is planning on proposing to Kat, so this would at first seem like the most obvious answer. However, things aren't always what they seem. Remember how Season Two began with what appeared t...

What is the best Hallmark Channel series of all time?

If you'll recall, last year  in honor of March Madness, I asked fans to vote for their favorite movie from the "Signed,  Sealed, Delivered" series.  Well, this year, I am continuing this tradition by asking fans to vote for their favorite "Hallmark Channel" series.  Every week starting this week, I will post a poll on my Twitter/X page (x.com/wesths05) asking fans to vote for their favorite Hallmark Channel series.  Just as I did with my "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" poll last year, the series will be ranked and paired based on their ratings on the Internet Movie Database, or IMDb.  Here is how I am currently planning this tournament to go. Author's Note: While "When Hope Calls" is currently airing on Great American Family, it did begin as a Hallmark series and is a spinoff of an ongoing Hallmark series ("When Calls The Heart"), which is why it is included.
