Top Ten Jeopardy Contestants Of All Time

By
Today, March 30th, marks 59 years since the popular game show Jeopardy first premiered on NBC. To celebrate the milestone, I have decided to rank the show's ten greatest contestants based on my own rankings formula. In order to get each player's final rating, I multiplied the total number of games that each player has competed in on Jeopardy (both regular season and tournament games) by the number of clues per game (61). I then took that number and multiplied it by what the J-Archive (arguably the largest collection of Jeopardy memorabilia on the internet) refers to as the contestant's "batting average"-that is, the average percentage of correct responses given by the contestant relative to the total possible responses during that contestant's games. This gave each player their final rating. So, without further ado, here are the Top Ten Jeopardy Contestants Of All Time. Update: In the fifteen months have that passed since these rankings were first published, ...

Addressing Hallmark Channel's "Blind" Spot

By
Yesterday, it was announced that Sarah Drew ("Christmas In Vienna", "One Summer") would be portraying the titular character in an upcoming Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film "Guiding Emily". The movie, which is set to premiere on Friday September 8 at 9/8 Central, revolves around the titular Emily, who becomes blind following a rock-climbing accident. While Hallmark Channel has made tremendous strides when it comes to representation in the disabled community (For example, "The Christmas Bow" features a disabled character named Tess, played by real life Charcot-Marie-Tooth patient Joy Perry, and movies like "Our Christmas Journey" and "Color My World With Love" feature autistic actors and actors with Down Syndrome in prominent roles), one area that the network is still lagging behind in when it comes to authentic representation in the disabled community is blind or visually impaired actors. By my count, Emily will be at the ...

All Of The "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" Episodes And Movies Ranked

By
Today, October 12, marks the 10th anniversary of when the first "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" movie (simply titled "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" but also known by the alternate title "Second Chances") premiered on Hallmark Channel. To celebrate the milestone, I have decided to rank every episode and movie in the series using my unique rating system that multiplies each episode and/or movie's IMDB rating by its viewers per one million.  The ratings are as follows. (Author's Note: The pilot movie is ranked alongside the hour-long episodes instead of the two hour movies). Author's Note: I've updated these rankings to include the newest film in the series "A Tale Of Three Letters". Author's Note: I have decided to revamp the rankings so that now the episodes and movies are ranked solely based on their IMDB rating. Author's Note: I've updated these rankings to include the newest film in the series "To The Moon And Back...

Who Is K.C. Goodwin?

By
Author's Note: The character of K.C. Goodwin in "The Way Home" was introduced as a non-binary character on the show. Out of respect for both the character and their actress, this article will refer to K.C. using the terms "They/Them". Author's Note: The title and content of this article has been updated to reflect that Vaughan Murrae's character is officially called "K.C. Goodwin". During Season Two of "The Way Home", viewers were introduced to K.C. Goodwin (Vaughan Murrae), who claimed to be the grandchild of the recently deceased Evelyn Goodwin (Susan Hamann). While the season two finale hinted that Casey was not who they claimed to be when it was revealed that they were wearing a ring identical to the ring that Kat (Chyler Leigh) gave to Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow), last night's episode (titled "I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song") raised more questions about K.C.s identity. Near the end of the episode,...

"The Way Home"-Jacob's disappearance and the Stable Time Loop Theory

By
Hello. First, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wesley Eversole. I have been an avid watcher of Hallmark Channel for about four years now and have watched almost all of their series, including their most recent series, "The Way Home", which premiered on January 15. If you are not familiar with the series, let me give you a basic rundown on the premise.     The series basically revolves around the main  character, Alice Dhawan (played by Sadie Laflamme-Snow) discovering that she has the ability to travel through time and jumping into a pond out in the woods behind her maternal grandmother, Del Landry's (Andie McDowell) family farm. She travels back to 1999, where she meets her mother, Kat (Alex Hook) as a teenager.      "The Way Home" has several mysteries but by far the most prominent is the  disappearance of Kat's younger brother Jacob (Remy Smith) during a Fall Festival in 1999. In the series' most recent episo...

This Friday July 21 at 9 PM ET, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will have the world television premiere of "A Lifelong Love". To celebrate the premiere, I have decided to rank all of the previous Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries films of its lead actress, Andrea Brooks.
