Hallmark Channel Makes History On Latest Episode Of "The Way Home"

During the most recent episode of "The Way Home" that premiered this past Sunday February 4, there was one scene in particular that stood out. While Kat Landry (Chyler Leigh) is looking through the archives at the Port Haven Herald, she is greeted by someone named K.C. Goodwin (Vaughan Murrae). In a historical scene for Hallmark Channel, Kat identifies K.C. as the granddaughter of Evelyn Goodwin, the woman who left the Herald to her, only to have K.C. correct her and state that she is actually Evelyn's grandchild and uses "they/them".
