What is the best Hallmark Channel series of all time?

     If you'll recall, last year  in honor of March Madness, I asked fans to vote for their favorite movie from the "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" series.  Well, this year, I am continuing this tradition by asking fans to vote for their favorite "Hallmark Channel" series.  Every week starting this week, I will post a poll on my Twitter/X page (x.com/wesths05) asking fans to vote for their favorite Hallmark Channel series.  Just as I did with my "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" poll last year, the series will be ranked and paired based on their ratings on the Internet Movie Database, or IMDb.  Here is how I am currently planning this tournament to go.


Author's Note: While "When Hope Calls" is currently airing on Great American Family, it did begin as a Hallmark series and is a spinoff of an ongoing Hallmark series ("When Calls The Heart"), which is why it is included.


First Round-March 21-27

Addressing Hallmark Channel's "Blind" Spot

 Yesterday, it was announced that Sarah Drew ("Christmas In Vienna", "One Summer") would be portraying the titular character in an upcoming Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film "Guiding Emily". The movie, which is set to premiere on Friday September 8 at 9/8 Central, revolves around the titular Emily, who becomes blind following a rock-climbing accident. While Hallmark Channel has made tremendous strides when it comes to representation in the disabled community (For example, "The Christmas Bow" features a disabled character named Tess, played by real life Charcot-Marie-Tooth patient Joy Perry, and movies like "Our Christmas Journey" and "Color My World With Love" feature autistic actors and actors with Down Syndrome in prominent roles), one area that the network is still lagging behind in when it comes to authentic representation in the disabled community is blind or visually impaired actors.  Today, October 12, marks the 10th anniversary of when the first "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" movie (simply titled "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" but also known by the alternate title "Second Chances") premiered on Hallmark Channel. To celebrate the milestone, I have decided to rank every episode and movie in the series using my unique rating system that multiplies each episode and/or movie's IMDB rating by its viewers per one million.  The ratings are as follows. "The Way Home"-Jacob's disappearance and the Stable Time Loop Theory

       Hello. First, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wesley Eversole. I have been an avid watcher of Hallmark Channel for about four years now and have watched almost all of their series, including their most recent series, "The Way Home", which premiered on January 15. If you are not familiar with the series, let me give you a basic rundown on the premise.     The series basically revolves around the main  character, Alice Dhawan (played by Sadie Laflamme-Snow) discovering that she has the ability to travel through time and jumping into a pond out in the woods behind her maternal grandmother, Del Landry's (Andie McDowell) family farm.        On Saturday June 17, 2023, I had the privilege of attending a screening of "Little Town", an independent film directed by Dani Menkin and starring Jason Paul Field, Crystal St. John and Grant Stevens. The movie follows Jason ( Field), his son Tommy (Stevens) and their new friend Lauren (St. John) as they make the journey to the titular location of Little Town.     When the movie begins, Jason is an aspiring stand-up comic who has been living alone with his son Tommy ever since his wife passed away an  unspecified time ago. He has never told Tommy the truth about what happened to his mother, only telling them that she was "up in the sky", which Tommy believes means that she is living on top of a mountain in  a place called "Little Town", an ostensibly mythical place that Jason has told his son stories about.      One day while Jason is sitting in his car, a young woman (St. John) suddenly gets in and asks him to drive, though ...
